  • Can’t take ma eyes off-of-viewwwwww 🎶👀 . The countdown is on until it’s time for us to leave here 😲🇮🇹 . In just under a month we will be back on UK soil! We will have a couple of weeks to visit friends in the south and attend the @intothewildfestival ⛺️✨ before heading North and beginning a new chapter!! . Nervous to leave the world of season work we’re so used to, but it certainly won’t be the end of our travels and adventures! ✈️ 🌍 . Before all that though! We’ve got some exciting things planned and will be trying to squeeze in lots of exploring to really make the most of our last weeks!! .   • Visited an absolute gem of a tiny town yesterday 😍 . Torri del Bonaco is so beautiful but it’s also really peaceful with the least amount of tourists I’ve seen anywhere around the lake! 🤫 . A once totally walled town, it was used for shipbuilding and is home to a castle and museum. You can learn about the origins of fresh water fishing and admire models of ships through the ages. (Which made the history geek in me very happy!) 🤓 Exhibits are in German and Italian, buttttt it was still interesting to look around the models and medieval tools 🎣🚣‍♀️ . Torri del Bonaco is made up of several smaller towns, including Pai, where we found our perfect swimming spot the other week 😍 . I suspect tourism is on the rise, but for now it’s up there as one of my favourite places 💛 .   • Just look at this place!! 👀 If you zoom in you can see the cable car headed up the Monte Baldo. Everything is lush and green now, but they will be snow-capped mountain tops again come winter ❄️🏔🎿 . These mountains are full of as much history as the town of Malcesine. The Peace Trail, once a military route in WW1 can now be hiked by tourists. Due to fighting between Italian and Austrian-German soldiers, remnants of the war can still be found here! Look out for rusted grenades and long-abandoned hideouts 😲 . Are you into hiking/climbing?   • Isn’t this the perfect spot for a coffee with a view?? 🇮🇹 . We stopped at Café Ancora in Malcesine for lunch where you can sit and people watch with a fresh juice, aperitif or a panini. Average prices but fresh and friendly! And such a great spot! 😍 . Vegan options aren’t fantastic around the Lake, but this little place had a few, could adapt certain foods and had dairy free milk too 🐮 .
